Privacy
Short version: no accounts, no tracking cookies, and your walks never leave your device.
Calculators
Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent anywhere. Some results appear in the page address so you can share them — only if you copy the link yourself.
Stored on your device
WalkTimer uses your browser's localStorage for three things: your body weight/height (so you don't retype them), your walk log, and your last generated walking plan. This data never leaves your device.
Walking plan builder
When you press "Build my plan", your answers (goal, level, days, minutes, pace and the optional note) are sent to an AI model through Vercel AI Gateway to write the plan. We don't store them. Please don't include personal details in the note. Your IP address is held briefly in memory to limit how many plans can be requested per hour.
Analytics
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics tool, to count page views. It doesn't use cookies or build profiles of individual visitors.
Health note
WalkTimer's estimates are for general fitness information and aren't medical advice.
